Carlsson has introduced the new C25 Royale Super GT at the Geneva Motor Show.
Based on the Mercedes SL 65 AMG, the bespoke coupe features a carbon fiber body, unique headlights, and 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels. Options include a matte exterior (€4,800), a tri-color paint scheme (€12,600), or a 24-karat gold exterior for a staggering €156,000.
Inside, the cabin is relatively untouched but there is a revised center console which is cantered towards the driver. If you find this less than thrilling, you can add carbon fiber trim (€13,564), a FOCAL audio system (€18,860), and the Clubsport package which includes race seats, a roll cage, a fire extinguisher, and six-point safety harnesses (€35,400).
Under the hood, 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine has been tuned to produce 753 PS (554 kW / 743 hp) and an electronically limited 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a five-speed automatic transmission, which enables the 1,970 kg (4,343 lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 352 km/h (219 mph).
Production will be limited to 25 units and pricing starts at €429,000 ($594,770). To ensure exclusivity, Carlsson will only sell one vehicle per country and customers will have the option of buying a matching Smart ForTwo for an additional €45,000 ($62,385).
